I am a researcher in the Internet Graphics Group, Microsoft Research Asia, where my work focuses mainly on hair modeling, image manipulation, and resolution-independent representations.
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Institute for Advanced Study, Tsinghua University in 2011, under the supervision of Prof. Baining Guo.

Interactive manipulations enabled by physically plausible hair generation.
Generating a 3D strand-based hair model from a single image.
Vectorized volumetric objects with complex multiscale structures.
A compact random-access vector representation for solid textures.
A method to create new hairstyles from existing ones.
